PIXEL

Pixel is an education and training agency based in Florence (Italy).

Pixel was founded in 1999 by a team of professionals with over 10 years of experience in the field of transnational cooperation for education and training. Pixel’s mission is to promote an innovative approach to education, training and culture, this is done mostly by trying to exploit the best potential of ICT for education and training.

Pixel training offers focuses on three main areas: information and communication technologies (e.g. new technologies for education; Internet for tourism etc.); business administration (e.g. quality issues; marketing etc.) and language learning (e.g. Italian for art; English for tourism etc.). Pixel training offer is addressed to: teachers; trainers; workers; public officers; post diploma students.

Pixel trains around 300 people each year. Of those:40% are workers going through in-company training; 40% are in-service teachers and trainers; 10% are public officers; 10% are post diploma students.

ITI-IPIA Leonardo da Vinci

The technical Institute "Leonardo da Vinci" of Florence was set up by the municipal-ity of Florence in the year 1900 to train good technicians for the firms of the town.
For a century our school has been representing for its didactic - structural charac-teristics the point of reference for the economic and productive structure of the fol-lowing fields: Mechanics, Building, Electronics, Electrotechnics, Telecommunica-tions, Chemistry, Informatics, not only in the area of Florence but in all our region.

The school has two fields of training for students from 14 to 19 years: the Technical Institute and the Vocational Institute.
Some specializations of the Vocational Institute such as Graphics, Dental mechan-ics, Watchmakers, offer the only opportunity to form specific competencies in these sectors.
The Institute has always been able to bring itself up to date about some scientific technological innovations to offer the students the necessary preparation for the job market.
At the same time, the Institute takes care of the cultural global preparation in a way that the courses of studies can be continued at University level.

Periodically the students participate in stages of hands of training with local indus-tries: it exists a continuous contact between the Institute and these latter ones. Some classes are also engaged in different European Projects.

The Institute often organizes Conferences and meetings about scientific and techni-cal subjects, didactic and socially interesting innovations. A real pride of the Insti-tute is the Library that has 33000 volumes among which the nineteenth century fund of 3000 volumes and some publications of the eighteenth century.

The School is a Training Agency accredited by the Tuscan Regional County and in this role carries out training projects funded by the ESF for apprentices, unem-ployed, employed, women and Advanced Technical Educational Courses after Sec-ondary School Diploma (IFTS Courses).
It is certified Committed to Excellence in the framework of the quality model EFQM European Foundation for Quality Management

Connectis srl

Connectis is formed on the basis of operating in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. Connectis covers various IT areas and focuses on software development and computer systems, the creation and production of multimedia material and computerized advertising graphics. Particular attention is given to the use and to the diffusion of New Technologies based on Internet use. Commercial and educational software is produced by Connectis. The Connectis’ core business is the production of e-learning platforms.

Bildungswerk ver.di in Niedersachsen e. V.

Bildungswerk ver.di is an non-profit institution located in Lower Saxony (north-western part of Germany) for adult education an vocational training. It offers courses in Political Sience, Communication, Environment, Languages, Design and Training courses for Women.
We have a staff of 55 persons. We are cooperating with other educational organisations (e. g. Deutsche Angestellten Akademie, DAA) and teachers.
Ver.di is a big Trade Union for Services in Germany.

National University of Ireland Maynooth

NUI Maynooth is Ireland's second oldest university. It has over 5500 students studying humanities, education, natural science, computing, and electronic engineering.

The Language Centre at NUI Maynooth provides instruction for university students of French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, EFL and Irish. We also develop and deliver online materials for learners of Irish. The Centre has two language laboratories and a self-access language learning area that contains PCs and video stations for viewing satellite TV and pre-recorded programmes.

Kaunas University of Technology, Faculty of Humanities

KTU consists of 12 faculties, International Studies centre, a large number of institutes and research centres. Traditionally, research and experimental activities in the fields of physical, technological, and social sciences are being developed at the University. Research in biotechnology and humanities are also taking the beginning. KTU awards Bachelor’s, master’s and Doctor’s degrees as well as a professional qualification. In this project, KTU is represented by the Centre of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Humanities. The Centre of Foreign Languages provides English, German, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish and Lithuanian Studies courses to the university students. An integral part of foreign language learning and teaching is the application of ICT.

WSINF-The College of Computer Science

WSINF – WYŻSZA SZKOŁA INFORMATYKI W ŁODZI, POLAND (www.wsinf.edu.pl)
The College of Computer Science in Lodz is a Non-State Owned Higher Education Institution, which operates according to the rules and regulations of the Law concerning Higher Education from 12th September 1990.

The College of Computer Science was approved and validated by the Ministry of Education and Sports and entered the Register of the Non-State Owned Higher Education Institutions at number 108 in 1997.

It is one of the biggest independent Higher Education Institutions in the Łódź region, which educates and trains IT engineers and students in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Science and Econometrics, Pedagogy and Educational Studies, Computer Graphic Design, Artistic Graphics, Economy and Physical Education. In the nearest future we attend to introduce some business programmes like Political Sciences and Administration.

Currently, it educates over 7000 students in Łodź and in three divisions in Bydgoszcz, Włocławek and Opatówek. Its students have the possibility to obtain both bachelor and master degree.

It develops dynamically in order to give its students numerous possibilities of gaining valuable knowledge provided by respected scientists, academic teachers and experts. For their convenience it is introduced for example special system allowing poorly hearing students more comfortable participation in the classes. Another facility is the Sports Centre and easy access to training possibilities helps the students to win national and international championships.

CREA

Confederación de Empresarios de Aragón (CREA), is a non-profit employers organisation located in the Autonomous Community of Aragon, Spain.
CREA represents more than 30.000 enterprises through its associates made up by territorial and multisectorial businesses associations as well as biggest local companies operating in the region.
CREA provides a wide range of services from training & employment to specialised guidance at different business areas and addressed to different targets, carry out periodical socio-economical surveys, provide European information through an EIC (Euro Info Centre) hosted by the organisation, among other activities etc. through a multidisciplinary staff of aprox. 55 employees with different profiles.
The most active area, The Innovation, training and employment unit organises and provides more than 500 courses per year as well as 4 post-graduates on Euro-quality, Euro-marketing Health and Safety at Work, and Human Resources, addressed to employees (lifelong learning), unemployed (occupational training) and special training itineraries to targets with special exclusion risks, such as inmigrants, women, rural areas and youth, by means of all existing methodologies from in-class training to e-learning.
Other activities are focused on labour advice and intermediation for old students and with regional enterprises, in collaboration with the Regional Goverment, and special advisory boards to provide guidance on all business areas such as R&D, quality, environment, health and safety at work, New Technologies…etc

TRANSFER Slovensko, s.r.o.

The company TRANSFER Slovensko was founded in 1994 as a Slovcak educational and consulting privat company. It is a currently one of the major educational and consulting privat company in Slovak scene. The companys purpose and mission is to provide an integradet system of human resources services by covering areas : educational programmes, training programmes, consulting oriented on human resources management systems and international projects. In  the educational process TRANSFER makes use of its own know –how in a distance learning systems of managers at all levels, the training programmes are directed on managerial skills in areas such communication, team building, leadership and motivation, personal and profesional development and etc.

TRANSFER  realize vocational education and training programmes in many international and slovak companies  as Volkswagen, Embraco, Plastic Omnium, Delphi, Johnson Controls and etc. Together with this componies TRANSFER prepare educational programmes and special education materials, special training programmes with tutors from this companies which are responsible for education. TRANSFER provide education for minorities, travelling people, imigrants in multicultural education, habits and other skills which they would needs in other cultural enviroment. 

Leonardo Da Vinci

The LeTS project has been carried out with the support of the European community. The content of the project does not necessarily reflect the position of the European Community or the Italian National Leonardo Agency, nor does it involve any responsibility on their part
